Logline: When a couple struggling with pregnancy loss visits yet another medical facility searching for high-quality fertility support, they are triggered and confronted with the debilitating challenges and realities of grief and loss. In the waiting room, they must rely on each other to keep their hope intact.
Derek (Lead)
30-35, Male, Black, supportive, and gentle. Derek is a hardworking man who is a very present and supportive partner. Although Derek is very engaged and supportive, too often, in medical spaces, he is overlooked and neglected. Derek is also grieving, but he is determined to remain steadfast and be the best and most attentive partner he can be.
Tiffany (Lead)
30-35, Female, Black, a pre-K teacher who loves children and has always wanted to have her own. After enduring two consecutive miscarriages, grief and loss have taken a toll on her physical, emotional, and mental well-being. However, she is not quite ready to give up. After not receiving the best care, she and her partner Derek are searching for a medical team that can provide them with the highest quality care and nothing less.
Receptionist
40-60, Female, curt, and preoccupied with handling administrative tasks more than patient care.
